She Wins – We Win
I met Gail Evans at a Network of Women’s event that my former employer sponsored. I still have her book “She Wins You Win.” Gail is one of the nation's best-known women’s mentors, authors, and speakers. She was also CNN’s highest-ranking female executive until she retired. After I left that event, I Won. Let me tell you why.
Two women leaders saw something in me to invite me to become a member of that women’s network as one of the directors. My roles were primarily administrative, but I felt honored for the part I played in bringing visibility and quality to the program. The two women leaders who mentored me inspired me to do and succeed at whatever I desire. Now I take joy in playing a part in the Northern Virginia Professional Administrative Network (https://www.novapan.net/) as a leader and mentor to help women and men be better doing whatever they do best, whether it’s an administrative professional, manager, executive, or entrepreneur.
I encourage every woman to celebrate each other’s accomplishments and uplift each other through disappointments. Find a mentor and be a mentor, because when She Wins, You Win. Thank you Patti Burquest, Carol Schwartz, and Gail Evans.
