Never Give up. Great things take time. (Dhiren Prajapati)
I loved my elementary and high school teachers so much that I wanted to be an educator when I grew up. Nevertheless, the closest I got was substitute teaching and volunteering for Junior Achievement.
English was my favorite subject, so I took communication courses in college. Although I love writing, I spent most of my years as an administrative professional. Our desires do not always catch up with reality as much as we planned, but we should never give up on our goals but strive to do our best in current situations.
God gave us the will to make changes in our lives: however, dreaming and thinking do not change things. I was fortunate to support a financial audit partner who saw something in me. She gave me opportunities to write, corrected me when she saw how I could improve, and helped me recognize that I can create with words.
Recently, I retired; however, I’m yet striving for more incredible things. At the same time, I’m still learning as a member of two professional associations, the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC) and the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). I keep my writing and administrative skills up-to-date. Now I am teaching high school students résumé writing, but my more incredible is on the way!
